Mit einer Spende von 7.000 Euro überraschten Dr. Ute Probst, Dr. Jürgen Budde und Dr. Ulf Schutter den “Freundeskreis der Jugendbibliothek im Türmchen“. Mit dieser Summe halfen die drei Marler Ärzte ein spannendes Projekt realisieren zu können – den “Lesegarten“.

“Wir freuen uns mit dieser Summe etwas für die Kinder in Marl bewegen zu können“, so die Ärzte. Bei einem Rundgang durch die bestehenden Räumlichkeiten gewannen sie einen Eindruck von der Vielfalt des Angebots im Türmchen.
Bücher zu vielen Themen, Hörspiele, aber auch Lernsoftware und kindgerechte PC-Spiele gibt es dort.
“Mein Sohn war früher auch im Türmchen“, erzählte Dr. Jürgen Budde dem Vorsitzenden des Freundeskreises, Werner Eisbrenner. Seit mehr als 30 Jahren sind mehrere Generationen mit dem Türmchen groß geworden.
“Die Kinder haben hier ein richtiges kleines Reich“, geriet Dr. Ute Probst, selbst Mutter eines Mädchens, ins Schwärmen.
Dieses “Reich“ soll mit dem “Lesegarten“ weiter wachsen. Ein Teil des unteren Türmchenbereichs würde dabei verglast und einen deutlichen Raumgewinn mit sich bringen. Mit der Spende ist der Eigenkapitalbedarf gedeckt, Kreditzusagen bestehen. Was fehlt ist eine Zusage der Stadt Marl. Die drei Ärzte hoffen ebenso wie Werner Eisbrenner und die Kinder im Türmchen auf einen positiven Bescheid aus der Verwaltung.
Die Spendensumme stammt aus dem Überschuss des kürzlich aufgelösten “Bundesverband niedergelassener Akupunkturärzte Deutschlands“, dem die Ärzte im Vorstand angehörten.
Da Akupunktur etabliert ist und der Ausbildungsbedarf gedeckt, löste sich der Verband auf. Satzungsgemäß spendeten sie den Betrag einem wohltätigen Zweck.
